* Wired Different implies there is nothing wrong with you. If you’ve carried pain, self-doubt, or a sense of being “wired different,” you are not broken. You are human—and your story makes sense. You have adapted to your life differently than others because your story is different than others.
In my practice, we don’t ask “What’s wrong with you?” We ask: “What happened to you?”
“Your vulnerabilities are not weaknesses—they are strengths waiting to be discovered.”
Trauma leaves imprints on both mind and body, but with the right tools, those imprints can be softened and even transformed. Modern psychology and neuroscience have shown us that emotional suffering is not a life sentence.
Through mind–body integration, inner child healing, and evidence-based trauma therapies such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy-ART™, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Neurofeedback, or Somatic Experiencing (SE) we work together to release the snapshots of pain that your nervous system still holds. As those old patterns ease, you’ll discover new space for calm, clarity, and a compassionate connection with yourself.
This is therapy for those who have always felt a little different. It’s therapy that honors your survival strategies while helping you uncover the strength, resilience, and wholeness already inside you.
My doctorate and post-doctoral fellowships are from McGill University Montreal Canada, and I’ve been licensed as a psychologist in California since 1982. Prior to that, I was a psychiatric and research RN at the Allan Memorial Insititute of Psychiatry Montreal. For 15 years, I was part of teams consulting directly with Maurice Dongier, MD, Wilder Penfield, MD, Hans Selye, MD, and Ronald Melzack, PhD to explore cutting edge approaches to complex issues.
Making the first step can feel difficult, but it doesn't have to be. The first call can start a spiral toward further positive action, regardless of whether we end up working together or not. The initial 15 min confidential phone consultation can be helpful in guiding you in the right direction. Please complete the form below if you would like to learn more:
If you would like to go ahead, schedule your complimentary 15-minute discovery conversation with me. I might ask you to complete a brief questionnaire. We will then move further if we are both completely confident that this approach is the best solution for you.
If we agree to work together, I will detail a plan that’s right for you.
Sessions are either 50 minutes or 80 minutes over secure a video link.
My therapeutic approach is direct, using an accelerated and focused approach. While I do not bill insurance directly, you will receive a statement that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
It’s a good idea to check with your insurance provider to determine your "out-of-network benefits" for licensed clinical psychologists, including your deductible, what your coverage amount will be, and how many sessions might be covered.
$275 for 50 minute therapy session
$350 for 80 minute therapy session (couples or extended sessions)
